Wow, I almost cried, it's so good. We've both traveled around Italy, and this restaurant served the best marinara sauce we've ever tasted. Nothing like the Olive Garden slop, that other reviewers prefer. The food is made fresh every day, and you can taste that. This is real Italian food, made by an Italian family, honoring family recipes. If you've ever been to Italy and crave those authentic flavors, this place will take you back. The owner meets you at the door, seats you, and will stop by your table to check on you. If you ask, he'll tell you about the family recipes they use. This is a very popular spot, so try to come early, we arrived twenty minutes after opening and were seated immediately, half an hour later the place was full and several groups were waiting. Service was spot on, drinks were refilled and the previous courses' plates were cleared quickly. Prices are fair, given the freshness and quality. As with everything else, you get what you pay for. I ordered the spinach ravioli which was appropriately sized for one person, while my girlfriend ordered the penne Alfredo which would easily have feed three. Appetizers also vary in size, so it pays to ask about portion size. We tried the bruschetta and spicy sausage appetizers, both were excellent. Save room for the deserts, you'll be glad you did.
Very clean and comfortable atmosphere. Was greeted as soon as we walked into the place. It is a small family owned place and owner walked around asking how everything was and made everyone feel welcome. The food portions are very generous and large. The meals come with a salad and two garlic breads, so the price is well worth what you get. The ranch is very good and obviously home made. Waitress was fast and attentive, the food came out very hot and fresh… VERY fresh. I definitely recommend this place and will happily drive back up there again for more!
What a wonderful experience we had at this charming Italian restaurant! My husband chose this place for his birthday dinner after hearing all the rave reviews - and now I totally understand why! From the moment we arrived, the warm, cozy atmosphere made us feel like we were transported straight to Italy. The tortellini was absolutely divine - the pasta was perfectly cooked, the filling was rich and savory. And the tiramisu? Pure magic! Light, creamy, with just the right amount of coffee flavor. It was like eating a little piece of heaven. We were also so impressed by the service! A sweet lady with gorgeous black hair, who looked like Italian nonna, kindly brought us a high chair for our son - she made us feel right at home. The waiter, equally wonderful, brought over crayons and coloring pages for our little one, which was such a thoughtful touch. Plus, we think we spotted the owner -a stylish gentleman in a blue shirt and gray pants who was everywhere, chatting with guests, checking in on everything, and making sure everything ran like clockwork. He was like a magician, making it all happen with ease! The food, the service, the atmosphere - it was all perfect. We can't wait to come back, and we’ll definitely be telling everyone about this hidden gem. If you haven’t been yet, go NOW!
THE BEST ITALIAN FOOD EVER. Hands down. This place is a hidden treasure. Do not pass on the opportunity to eat here. Food is flavorful and delicious. Giovanni was here and told us the amazing story about how he and his family run this restaurant, which is so special. We love supporting locally owned businesses like this. Arta our server was absolutely the most delightful person! 10/10 will return.
Don't let the mediocre outside shy you away.. The service is top notch, the entrée's are delightful, the wine list has something for everyone and THE DESSERTS *chefs kiss* . We were first timers and as life long westsiders I can't believe we haven't attend until now. The amount of food is shareable and wont break the bank. If you're looking for homemade Italian this is the place to be. They also offer carryout!
My family had dinner here the other night and it quickly became a local favorite! We loved this place. From the friendly prompt service, the warm cozy atmosphere, and the amazing food. It really feels like little Italy! The older gentleman seated us and continued walking around conversing with customers with a smile on his face. We felt like family here. It was such a breath of fresh air! Can’t wait to take my whole family back here soon. 10/10
